What we see in Parker homes

A small town that grew fast. Parker started as a stop on the stage route — the Twenty Mile House — and incorporated in 1981. The census counted about 5,450 residents in 1990 and more than 58,000 in 2020. That means most Parker homes are newer construction, and a lot of them still run the furnace and AC the builder installed. As that equipment ages, failed igniters, weak capacitors, and noisy blower motors are the usual first signs.

Higher than Denver, open to the plains. Parker sits at roughly 5,800 feet, more than 500 feet above downtown Denver, and the east side of town opens onto the plains. Wind drifts snow against the side of the house, and on a high-efficiency furnace that can bury the PVC intake and exhaust pipes and shut the furnace down. Clear the openings from the ground after a storm.

Bigger houses, more equipment. Larger two-story homes with finished basements sometimes have two furnaces, or one system split into zones. When one floor won't keep up, we check the zone dampers, both thermostats, and both filters before anything else.

What we fix in Parker

  • Heating: no heat, short cycling, ignition problems, heat pumps blowing cold.
  • Cooling: warm air, iced coils, dead capacitors.
  • Tune-ups: heating inspection, filter check, safety test, written findings — quoted per visit.

Common questions

Do you come out to Parker?

Yes. Parker is part of our service area. If you're in a neighboring area with a Parker address, such as Stonegate or The Pinery, send your zip and we'll confirm a window.

My furnace makes a loud bang when it lights. Should I keep running it?

No. A loud bang or boom at startup can mean delayed ignition, and repeated hard starts stress the heat exchanger. Turn the furnace off at the thermostat and request a visit. Do not open panels.

Snow covered the white pipes on the side of my house and the heat quit. What now?

Those are the intake and exhaust for a high-efficiency furnace. Clear the snow away from the openings from the ground only. If it still won't stay running, request a visit.
